1-lb. 'Miracle Puppy' Survives Being Picked Up and Dropped by Hawk Without Breaking a Bone

The mightiest souls sometimes come in the smallest packages.

Worried the Chihuahua was hurt from his encounter with the hawk and his fall back to land, the workers rushed the puppy to a local animal clinic, where veterinarians found that the dog had no broken bones.

This surprising feat has ledAustin Animal Center, the rescue where Tony Hawk was transferred to after visiting the vet, to call the canine a “miracle puppy.”

Austin Animal Center advises pet owners, especially those with small dogs and outdoor cats, to keep an eye on their pets at all times when they are outside. Owls, hawks and coyotes are known to grab unmonitored pets, even if the pets are kept in a fenced back yard.
