1-Month-Old Baby Is Mauled to Death by Family Dog in Connecticut

It’s unclear what prompted the dog to attack the child.

“Unfortunately, because of the nature of the incident we haven’t been able to talk to the mother. She is distraught,” Norwich Lt. Anthony Gomes said, theHartford Courantreports. “Our heart goes out to the family. This is just a tragic incident for all of those involved.”

Police are also investigating a house fire in New London that occurred hours after the infant’s death.
