Thousands of runners will hit the streets on Sunday for one of the preeminent sporting events in the world — the 2018 New York City Marathon.
The race, which started with just 55 participants way back in 1970, has grown to a massive scale, and an estimated 55,000 runners are expected to pound the pavement come Sunday morning.

It’s about to be a reality star showdown!
FormerFlavor of Lovecontestant Nicole “Hoopz” Alexander andTeen MomalumFarrah Abrahamwill face off in a celebrity boxing match next month.
On Sunday, Alexander posted a video of herself training for the match on Instagram.
In the clip, she is seen punching her trainer, who is wearing padded protection.
“#sickomode” she captioned the video.
The charity boxing match is intended to raise awareness against bullying.

FormerGleeactor Jesse Luken was arrested and charged with driving under the influence after his car crashed,TMZfirst reported.
A citizen called police at 11:16 p.m. on Dec. 5 to report that a car had driven onto the curb, Glendale Police Department’s Public Information Officer Dan Suttles told PEOPLE.
The solo car crash resulted in no injuries, though Luken’s car had a flat tire, according to Suttles. Officers had Luken take a field sobriety test and decided that there was probable cause to arrest him for driving under the influence, Suttles said.
